Players Wanted |
Gwynfi Utd will be running two teams in the Port Talbot League this season and we are on the lookout for more players.
We are primarily looking for a Goalkeeper to push for a first team position and also some outfield players to strengthen the squad.
If you want to be part of a successful, young up and coming team then contact us through this site or turn up to training where you will be made most welcome.
Cheers. |
|
Pre Season Training |
Pre season training will start on Saturday the 28th June.
Training will then be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm at the Welfare Ground.
All players old and new are welcome, please meet at the Welfare Ground at 1 pm.
If you wish to join the club then you will need a passport sized photograph in order to register.
We hope to run two teams this season but we need to make sure that we have enough players signed in order to achieve this.
Registration this season will cost £3 and must be paid by the start of the season.
Cheers. |

Presentation Night Awards. |
Our annual club Presentation night was well attended again this year with John Morgan the S.W.F.A Chairman and Port Talbot League President as our guest alongside our club President Dr Brian Gibbons A.M, David Evans and Gwyn Jones.
The main club awards were won by Josh Christopher who was chosen by the club committee for Clubman of the year and he also picked up the Players Player of the Year award, Josh has had a great season and has been rewarded for his contribution to the club both on and off the pitch.
The Player of the Year award went to David Walker, Dai has been outstanding this season and only just missed out on the Player's player award.
Both of the main winners also received framed photographs which were put together by our official club photographer Grahame Smout.
A special award was presented to David Blackmore for his Bog Snorkelling exploits in Minehead.
Our main sponsors Leigh and Geraldine also received gifts as a thank you from the club for their continued support to football in the village.
Phillipa, our treasurer received a fine bouquet of flowers as a thank you for the hard work she puts in through the season.
Andrew Jones and Rob Day received framed team photo's from the players.
A great night was had with some excellent entertainment provided by ATAK which features local talent from the valleys.
Photographs of the presentation will be added soon.
Cheers. |
